MASTERS PROGRAM
Requirements for Admission
Applicants must meet the general requirements for admission to graduate studies at the Río Piedras Campus. In addition, the following requirements must be satisfied:
- A bachelors degree from an accredited university.
- A grade point average of 3.00.
- Full knowledge of Spanish and reading ability in English.
- Satisfactory EXADEP or GRE scores.
- Application for admission from the School of Communication.
- Two official copies of academic transcript.
- Statement of purpose (three-page maximum) for pursuing graduate studies in Communication.
- Two letters of recommendation.
- Interview with the Graduate Admissions Committee.
Requirements for Graduation
- Complete the 36 required credits in courses and seminars
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.0
- Pass a written comprehensive examination
- Approval of thesis or project proposal
- Successfully complete a thesis
- Complete all requirements for graduation within 6 years or less
