School Librarian (Distance Education
Mode)
The School Librarian Certification
in the Distance Education Mode is a ground-breaking program
accesible via internet. It allows teachers and supporting
librarians of Puerto Rico to enroll in courses with the
flexibility and comfort of distance education in order to
earn the program certification. Courses in this program are
offered mainly online, using the Blackboard platform. Occasionally,
the Program is enhanced with physical on-site sessions as
well as videoconferencing. The use of chat rooms, discussion
forums, and emails offer students an on going interaction
with their professors and classmates and allows them to actively
participate in their learning process.
